House prices and rents compared with the large euro area economies. Housing powers are split: tenancy law is national, housing policy and rent-cap areas are regional, planning and permits are local.
House prices
House price index, all dwellings, quarterly, 2015 = 100. Spain's figures are INE's housing price index.
House prices: change on a year earlier
% change of the index on the same quarter a year before.
Rents
Actual rents paid by tenants in the consumer price index, annual average % change. It follows existing contracts, so it moves more slowly than asking rents.

Asking rents and sale prices per m² for Catalonia, the Barcelona area and Sitges come with those sections, with a marker where rent caps apply (the Housing Law's caps only apply in areas a region declares; in Catalonia from March 2024).
