Catalonia: housing
House prices and rents in Catalonia compared with Spain and the other autonomous communities. Tenancy law is national; the Generalitat runs housing policy and asked for its municipalities to be declared stressed rental areas, where rent caps under the 2023 Housing Law apply. The charts mark each rent-control measure that has applied in Catalonia since 2020.
